Day 3 – NASHVILLE
We begin today with breakfast at a Nashville institution. Following our country breakfast we step back in time with a visit to Belle Meade Plantation, this 1853 Greek Revival mansion, known as the “Queen of Tennessee Plantations,” originally reigned over more than 5,300 acres, many of which were devoted to raising Thoroughbred horses. Generations of Kentucky Derby winners and racing phenons such as Funny Cidar and Secretariat have called Belle Meade Home. Entertaining guides in period costume will guide us on a tour of the mansion, carriage house and stables, where over 100 years of history comes to life. There are also 10 outbuildings, including a slave cabin built in 1832.

For lunch we board the General Jackson Showboat. What a thrill to cruise the Cumberland River via this spectacular vessel. We enjoy lunch and a stage show aboard the largest showboat in the world. This fabulous musical review is the best you can find in the United States on a cruising vessel!

Remainder of the day is at leisure for independent exploration and enjoyment of the Gaylord Opryland Resort. Perhaps to pamper yourself at the Relache Spa or maybe some shopping at the nearby Opry Mills. Dinner is on your own at one of the several restaurants at the Opryland Resort.
